Monadnock – Sunapee Greenway Trail Club This hiking trail, nearly 50 miles in length, links Mounts Monadnock and Sunapee in southwestern New Hampshire. MSGTC publishes a trail guide and map and coordinates trail maintenance. Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests A stewardship and protection advocacy group, SPNHF owns a large chunk of Mount Monadnock and publishes "Forest Notes" magazine. Adirondack Mountain Club ADK promotes the "forever wild" status of New York's Adirondack Forest Preserve through advocacy and education. It also offers a variety of backcountry recreation opportunities. The Wilderness Society Protects America's wilderness and develops a nationwide network of wild lands through public education, scientific analysis, and advocacy. The Mountaineers is devoted to exploration, enjoyment and conservation of the outdoors and wilderness areas. The club sponsors thousands of outdoor activities each year. American Alpine Club AAC is the premier American mountaineering club. Known for its annual Accidents in North American Mountaineering, AAC is authoritative and safety-oriented.
